11. Michigan Governing Law
Michigan law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The Michigan Freedom of Information Act is Act 442 of 1976, MCL 15.231 et seq.; MCL 15.235 generally provides a five-business-day response period with one extension of up to ten business days for a qualifying public-record request. Those procedures govern requests to public custodians, not requests to this private reference.
